A rich Veneto red with a gently sweet edge, from Giacomo Montresor, one of Verona's historic houses, founded in 1892.
It is made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grown on hillsides north of Verona. In the appassimento style, the grapes are dried in crates for about 30 days to concentrate them. They are then fermented in stainless steel and aged six months in oak. The Urban Park name comes from the winery's wish, in the 2000s, to open its doors to street art.
Black cherry and bright berries with a touch of spice, then ripe bramble, supple tannins and a gently sweet finish lifted by fresh acidity. One for barbecues, slow-cooked meat or strong, aged cheese, at 16 to 18°C.
