The Moser family are the benchmark for Grüner Veltliner production in Austria, and their sustainability efforts are renowned. Their wines reflect a harmony between tradition, nature and innovation.

Three generations of the Moser family have been at the helm at the estate and grandson Nikolaus took over the reins in 2000. In 2006 Nikolaus turned the estate to biodynamic viticulture, gaining Demeter certification, and in 2009 released the first certified organic wines. And their sustainability doesn’t stop in the vineyards – they compost all the waste grape skins and vine trimmings, and they have increased the plantings of trees across the estate to increase biodiversity.

Grapes are hand harvested and fermented spontaneously with just the wild yeasts found on the grapes and in the winery. They follow a minimum intervention philosophy in the winemaking process.

Taste guide: delicate aromas of pear with that classic Grüner waft of white pepper on the nose are followed by citrussy lemon, lime and grapefruit, a touch of apricot with a backbone of steely, mineral acidity.
