Del Maguey is one of the names that put single village mezcal on the map, and the Vida Puebla is their most approachable expression. It's a good starting point for the mezcal-curious and a versatile bottle for cocktail making. It is made from 100%  Espadín agave at a palenque in Axocopan, in the volcanic highlands of Puebla. The piñas are roasted underground, naturally fermented, and twice distilled in small copper pot stills — the same traditional process used across the Del Maguey range.

What distinguishes Vida Puebla is its character: more earthy and piney than overtly smoky, with a distinct minerality that Del Maguey attribute to the volcanic rock in the Puebla soil. Pine forest and ripe peach on the nose with white pepper, the palate is piney and earthy with high acidity and peppery spice giving way to flinty mineral notes, white peach and grapefruit. The finish is smoky and mineral with an enlivening kick of pepper. 40% alc.vol. |  700ml  |  Mexico
