A Spanish white from AltaVé, a partnership between Boutinot and Bodegas Borsao in Campo de Borja, north-east Spain.
The two have worked together in the region for over 20 years. AltaVé draws on around 2,100 hectares, close to a third of the area's vineyards, and holds Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection certification. Macabeo makes up almost all of the blend, with a splash of Chardonnay. The must is chilled, then fermented at controlled temperature.
Stone fruit and citrus, gentle peach and a lightly honeyed note, with a fresh, rounded finish. Good with grilled fish or a simple pasta.
