A lovely, light expression of a classic Alsatian varietal.

Widely regarded as one of the most successful wine co-operatives in the world, Cave de Turckheim only produces wine from the grapes of its member growers. It keeps a very tight hold on standards and quality in the vineyards, aiming for viticultural excellence.

Cave de Turckheim has been a pioneer of organic viticulture in Alsace and now has 35 hectares of certified vineyards - the largest organic vineyard holdings in the region. Many of the grape growers have even gone a step further and have started using biodynamic practices, such as not tilling the soil, using natural fertilisers, such as nettle, horsetail and comfrey, and using natural alternatives to chemical treatments. This wine has been made from selected parcels of vines averaging over 45 years of age.

Taste guide: a lovely ripe pear and a touch of warm ginger spice on the nose and a medium bodied, just off-dry palate with a fresh and well-balanced finish.
