Domaine Boutinot Les Coteaux Schisteux, Seguret AOP Cotes du Rhone Villages

An excellent Côtes du Rhône Villages from the village of Séguret, a blend of 75% Grenache Noir and 25% Syrah from vines over fifty years old on the celebrated slopes of schist, hand-harvested, fermented with wild yeasts and aged up to twenty-two months in French oak.

Silky and deep, showing cigar box, vanilla and sweet spice on the nose over berry and cherry fruit, cedar, black pepper, cinnamon and leather, with a long finish.

Stands up to slow-cooked lamb, game or a rich stew.
