A classic Barossa GSM from John Duval, the acclaimed former Penfolds Grange winemaker. Shiraz for depth and dark fruit, Grenache for aromatics and red fruit, old-vine Mourvèdre for savoury spice and structure. Each parcel fermented separately, some Grenache with whole bunches, then matured in French oak hogsheads.
Velvety and layered, showing black fruit over cinnamon, vanilla and smoke, with red and black fruits, savoury spice and fine tannins carried by bright acidity to a long finish.
Stands up to slow-cooked lamb, grilled meats or a peppered steak.
