One of Margaret River's benchmark reds, from the Cullen family's biodynamic estate in Willyabrup on ancient granitic soils. A Cabernet-led Bordeaux blend (89% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec) off vines planted from 1971, hand-harvested on biodynamic calendar days.
Elegant and finely structured, showing blackcurrant, violet and cedar over liquorice, bitter chocolate and a graphite, iron edge, with firm, refined tannins and a long, mineral finish.
Made for roast lamb, a rare steak or aged cheeses.
