Johnnie Walker Red Label Whisky
Johnnie Walker Red Label, first introduced in 1909, is now the world’s best-selling blended Scotch whisky, available in over 200 markets worldwide.
The story of Johnnie Walker began in 1820 when 15-year-old John Walker opened a grocery store in Kilmarnock and began selling Scotch whisky. His son, Alexander, joined the business in 1856, and after John’s passing in 1857, helped transform it from a grocer into a thriving whisky enterprise. By 1908, John Walker’s grandsons had registered the Johnnie Walker name and launched three expressions: White Label, Special Red Label, and Extra Special Black Label. While the White Label was discontinued, the Red and Black—with their distinctive square bottles and the iconic “Striding Man” logo—achieved global success.
