Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 is a world-renowned Tennessee whiskey produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It is made from a mash of 80% corn, 12% barley, and 8% rye, and is charcoal mellowed through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal in a process known as the Lincoln County Process - a defining characteristic of Tennessee whiskey. After mellowing, it's aged in new, charred American oak barrels, which impart rich colour and flavour.
Though technically a straight bourbon by definition, Jack Daniel’s chooses the "Tennessee whiskey" label to emphasise its unique filtering and local tradition.
