Established in 1973 by Cecil De Loach (hence the name), De Loach was purchased by Jean-Claude Boisset in 2003, and his son, Jean-Charles, recognised similarities between Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley and his native Burgundy, seeing the region's potential for producing fine Pinot Noir (and Chardonnay). In keeping with the estate’s Burgundian heritage, this 100% Pinot Noir is vinified in open-top wooden fermenters and then aged in French oak barrels (20% new oak) for 12 months.
Taste: Medium-bodied with moderate tannins. Complex and multi-layered with strawberry, cherry, raspberry, dark plum fruit and a touch of rhubarb, toned with delicate spice and bright acidity.
