Boutinot La Fleur Solitaire | Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2024
Boutinot La Fleur Solitaire is a fresh, medium-bodied white Cotes du Rhône made from traditional southern Rhône white grape varieties sourced from vineyards in the southern Rhône. Each parcel of grapes is picked separately in the cooler early morning, then gently pressed within hours of harvesting and fermented at a low temperature. A base of Grenache Blanc is blended with Viognier and co-fermented pairs of Roussanne/Marsanne and Bourboulenc/Clairette.
The nose is delicate, with a waft of fennel tops and hints of hedgerow flowers. The flavours are nuanced and refined rather than overt. Careful use of oak adds texture and structure without masking the freshness of this very drinkable white.
