Bénédictine D.O.M. Herbal Liqueur

Bénédictine carries more history than most bottles on the shelf. This golden French liqueur rests on a closely guarded recipe of twenty-seven herbs and spices, first sold in the 1860s at Fécamp in Normandy, where the ornate Palais Bénédictine still stands.

It is rich and honeyed, with candied citrus peel and a warming thread of baking spice. Fine on its own over ice, essential to a good few classics, and the traditional partner to brandy in a B&B. We are partial to it in a Bobby Burns.
