Domaine des Tourelles Vieilles Vignes Cinsault

 Domaine des Tourelles was founded in 1868, and this wine comes from Cinsault vines over 50 years old in the Western Bekaa Valley. The grapes are hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats for ten days, with malolactic fermentation starting of its own accord. The wine then spends a year in concrete and a further six months in used French oak to round off the tannins.

Expect ripe fig, red cherry and plum lifted by star anise, with balanced acidity and fine tannins. It suits Mediterranean cooking, from marinated meats to grilled vegetables and anything off the BBQ.
