Franco Conterno Barolo Pietrin 2021

A classic Barolo from the Conterno family, four generations at Monforte d'Alba and certified organic since 2015, with fruit from Monforte, Novello and Castiglione Falletto. Aged twenty-four months in large Slavonian oak casks and a further year in bottle.

Rich, powerful and firmly tannic, showing classic Nebbiolo aromas of tea, rose and dried cherry with sweet spice, then tart cherry, hazelnut, truffle and forest floor on the palate, finishing long. Drinking well now, and built to age a decade or more.

Try it with braised beef, game, truffle dishes or aged cheeses.
