From Domaine Lafran-Veyrolles, a small, organically certified estate regarded as one of Bandol's finest, worked by hand under Jean-Marie Castell. An unusual Provence blend led by 70% Mourvèdre with Grenache and Cinsault, part saignée and part pressed, fermented over three weeks and rested six months in tank before a spring bottling.
Pale salmon and complex, showing an herbal nose and delicate sweet peach and red fruit over warm southern herbs, white pepper and soft raspberry. One to take your time over.
One for the table with olives and tapenade, shellfish, grilled chicken or spiced vegetables.
