From Château du Coing de St. Fiacre, in the same family since 1421, at the meeting of the Sèvre and Maine rivers in the heart of Muscadet. Véronique Günther-Chéreau took over in 1990; unusually, all the fruit is estate-grown Melon de Bourgogne on gneiss soils, now converting to organic. Rested on its lees over winter in the sur lie tradition.
Textural and fresh, showing green apple, white peach and apricot over a full, well-balanced palate and a crisp, mineral finish.
Pairs beautifully with oysters, shellfish or grilled fish.
