Domaine des Brosses, Sancerre

Domaine des Brosses Sancerre is a Loire Valley white made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, produced by the Girard family at their estate south of the town of Sancerre. The vineyards lie around the villages of Veaugues and Montigny, where clay and chalk soils on hillside sites contribute to the fresh, mineral character typical of the appellation.

The fruit is harvested in the cool of the night to preserve freshness, then gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine is aged on its fine lees for several months, adding subtle texture and roundness while maintaining the crisp, unoaked style associated with classic Sancerre.

Pale lemon in colour, the wine has aromas of ripe citrus and white flowers with subtle herbaceous notes. The palate combines lively acidity with a mineral edge and a clean, refreshing finish that typifies excellent Sancerre.
