A blend of 67% Grenache and 33% Syrah from Franschhoek and Paarl in South Africa's Coastal Region, from the Wildeberg team. Hand-harvested and gently fermented with a daily pump-over to draw out flavour slowly without crushing, then matured in French and Austrian oak, new and old, for eight months before blending and bottling on the farm.
Juicy and supple, showing ripe red berries and plum over a touch of black pepper spice, balanced by fresh acidity and steely tannins.
Made for grilled meats, especially lamb and spicier dishes.
