Domaine Sébastien Dampt Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume
From a new generation of small Chablis producers, Domaine Sébastien Dampt makes precise, mineral-driven wines that showcase the character of this classic Burgundy region. Dampt established his domaine in 2007, working with parcels inherited from his family’s long-standing vineyards. His approach focuses on purity and freshness, with stainless-steel fermentation preserving the bright fruit and chalky minerality that define great Chablis.
This Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume comes from one of the appellation’s most respected Premier Cru sites on the right bank of the Serein River. The vines grow in classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils rich in marine fossils, lending the wine its distinctive mineral backbone. Old vines and careful vineyard work produce fruit with concentration and clarity.
Expect aromas of lemon, green apple and white flowers, with a hint of wet stone. The palate is fresh and precise, balancing ripe citrus and orchard fruit with lively acidity and a long, saline finish. A natural partner for oysters, shellfish and seafood.
